EIGHT PLAYERS RELEASED FROM PENGUINS TRAINING CAMP

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today they have released eight players from the team’s 2016 training camp.

Forwards Derek Army, Garrett Meurs and Nick Sorkin; defensemen Danny Fick, Dan Milan and Kevin Schulze; as well as goaltenders Leland Irving and Adam Morrison were all released from their tryout agreements with the Penguins. Army, Meurs, Fick, Schulze and Sorkin will report to the Penguins’ ECHL affiliate, the Wheeling Nailers.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s roster now consists of 31 players prior to its final preseason game today against the Hershey Bears at Giant Center.
