The Wheeling Nailers have moved to the top of the ECHL’s North Division after posting a 2-1-0-0 record last week.  Get up to speed on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins affiliate in this edition of NAILERS NEWS.

RECENT ACTION

November 14, 2017:  Cody Wydo and Freddy Tiffels each scored a pair of goals in a 6-4 victory over the Adirondack Thunder.  Cam Brown and Garrett Meurs also each registered two points.  Sean Maguire picked up the win while recording 34 saves.

November 17, 2017:  Derek Army led the Nailers attack with a goal and four points in a 6-2 win against the Norfolk Admirals.  Garrett Meurs (1G, 2A) and Dylan Zink (1G, 1A) also recorded multi-point games in the win.  Sean Maguire stopped 36 shots.

November 18, 2017:  Garrett Meurs recorded the only goal in the 4-1 loss during the second game of a back-to-back with Admirals.  Zach Tolkinen and Will King assisted on the on goal of the game for the Nailers.  Along with the assist, King stopped 30 shots.

LEAGUE LEADERS

Cody Wydo is third in the ECHL with 20 points in 14 games played.  Wydo is tied for 12th in the league with eight goals, and is eighth in the league in assists with 12.

Reid Gardiner is fourth in points with 19 and tied for second in the league in goals with 11.

Garrett Meurs is tied for 10th in the league with 17 points and is tied for seventh in the league with nine goals.

Cam Brown is tied for third in the ECHL with 14 assists.

Nick Sorkin is tied for fifth in the ECHL in assists with 13.

Sean Maguire is tied for third in the league with six wins on the season.
