📝 : Penguins Fall to P-Bruins in OT
Saturday night’s game is the third of six meetings between the Penguins and Wolf Pack this season. The team’s split a pair of games in Wilkes-Barre last weekend, with the Penguins posting a 5-3 win on November 2, and Hartford pulling out a 3-2 victory on November 3.
The Penguins currently sit in fifth place in the Atlantic Division with a 6-4-1-1 mark (14 pts), while the Wolf Pack are seventh with a 5-7-1-2 record (13 pts).
Hartford carries a three-game point streak into Saturday’s action (1-0-0-2), while the Penguins have not posted a win in their past three games (0-2-1-0)
Rookie Sam Lafferty is the team’s active leading scorer with 11 points (4+7) in 12 games, and carries a four-game point streak (3+3=6) into Saturday night’s game.
Lafferty is tied for third among AHL rookies in points.
Defenseman Ethan Prow potted his fourth goal of the season last Friday against the Wolf Pack. That goal came in his ninth game of the season, and matched his total from all of last year, when he suited up in 40 contests for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Prow’s four goals are tied for fourth among all AHL blueliners.
Hartford’s Steven Fogarty is tied for 10th in the league with 14 points (7+7) in 15 games.
The Wolf Pack has allowed 57 goals this season, the highest total in the AHL this season.
