Sunday’s game is the second of six meetings between the Penguins and Bruins this season, and the second of two on the weekend.  Providence posted a 2-1, OT win against the Penguins on Friday night at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center..

The Penguins currently sit in fifth place in the Atlantic Division with a 7-4-1-1 mark (16 pts), while the Bruins are seventh in the same division with a 4-7-2-0 record (10 pts).

The Burins dropped a 5-4 overtime decision against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Saturday night, while the Penguins downed the Hartford Wolf Pack in commanding fashion, 4-1.

Thomas Di Pauli picked up his first goal of the season and set a personal best with three points (1+2) in Saturday night’s win.

Di Pauli also set a new person high with 12 penalty minutes in the game.  All 12 came with under four minutes to play, as he picked up an unsportsmanlike conduct minor, and a 10 minute misconduct.

Teddy Blueger picked up his first multi-point game (1+1) of the season on Saturday night.

Derek Grant posted his second goal in three games for the Penguins in Saturday night’s game, and his first game-winning goal with the team.

Sam Lafferty had his four-game point streak (3+3=6) snapped on Saturday.

Anthony Peters recorded an assist on Derek Grant’s game-winning goal on Saturday, giving the Penguins goaltender the first assist of his AHL career.
