PITTSBURGH RE-ASSIGNS WILSON TO WILKES-BARRE

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Garrett Wilson to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, it was announced Saturday by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Forward Derick Brassard, who is a game-time decision for tonight’s contest per head coach Mike Sullivan, was activated from injured reserve.

Wilson saw action in four games with Pittsburgh, his first appearances with the team at the NHL level. The veteran forward, who is in his third season in the organization, will return to his role as captain of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s next game is tonight, Saturday, Nov. 17, when they take on Charlotte for a second straight game at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. Game time for the rematch between the Penguins and Checkers is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
