RECENT NEWS

NOTES
Chris Summers netted his second goal of the season in Friday night’s victory over the Binghamton Devils.  It was also his second career game-winning goal.  The first came as a member of the Hartford Wolf Pack on April 15, 2016 at the St. John’s IceCaps.

Recent amateur tryout signees Michael Kim and Brandon Hawkins made their pro debuts on Friday night, with each contributing on the scoresheet.  Kim assisted on Summers’ opening goal, and Hawkins finished off the scoring with an empty net tally.

Goaltender Alex D’Orio, signed to an ATO earlier on Friday, dressed for his first pro game backing up goaltender John Muse.

Muse stopped 33 shots against the Devils for his second shutout of the season.  After dropping his first two games in goal this season, Muse has posted six straight wins for the Penguins, allowing just 12 goals in those victories.

Adam Johnson returned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton yesterday after a two-week stint with the Pittsburgh Penguins, and picked up two assists against Binghamton.

Ben Sexton returned to the lineup on Friday night for the first time since suffering an upper body injury on March 2 at Hartford.

Sam Lafferty posted his second consecutive multi-point game on Friday, posting a goal and an assist against the Devils.
