A BUSY NOVEMBER AHEAD FOR PENGUINS

It will be a jam-packed month of fun, helping and hockey as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins take to the ice for eight home games during the month of November.

Don’t make any Saturday night plans that don’t include the Pens, as we’ll hit the ice on each of the final four Saturday of the month (9th vs. Syracuse; 16th vs. Lehigh Valley; 23 vs. Charlotte; 30th vs. Bridgeport).  Two of those will feature special events aimed at raising awareness and assistance for serious medical issues.

The month kicks off with a little retro fun in the upside down world, as we throw it back for Stranger Things/80s Night.  Dress up as your favorite characters from the Netflix phenomenon to take part in our costume contest and other in-stand events during the evening.  Plus enjoy the sounds of synths and keytars all night long with a rad selection of 80s tunes.

Our second EYEWITNESS NEWS FAN FRIDAY of the season will take place on Friday the 15th when we host the Springfield Thunderbirds for the first time this season.  Fans can enjoy lower bowl seating for just $15, select draft beers for just $2 (6-7:30pm) courtesy of the PA Prostate Cancer Coalition, and postgame autographs from a pair of Penguins players.

We’ll be celebrating ‘The King’ on Saturday the 16th with ELVIS NIGHT, featuring local tribute artist Jimmy T.  The Exeter native will be performing on the ice during the first intermission and taking photos with fans, all while spreading the word about kidney donations.  Jimmy is himself looking for a donor, and you can find out how you can help him find a match at the game.  Check out his Facebook page (click here) for more info.

Get geared up for turkey day with a Thanksgiving eve showdown on Wednesday the 27th.  Enjoy $2 domestic draft beers from 6-7:30pm while you’re watching us stuff the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on the ice.

We’ll be pulling on the purple (lavender, actually) on November 30th, as we host our second annual HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER night.

We’ve produced a special HFC jersey, featuring lavender trim and a special alternate Penguins logo, that the team will be wearing that evening.  But before they hit the ice, we’ll be auctioning those sweaters online, with the proceeds going to the Mario Lemieux Foundation.  This in-advance auction will allow winners to see their sweaters in action that evening, and receive the jerseys immediately after the game.

Fans will also be able to stick around afterward to take to the rink and paint a special message on the ice in remembrance or support of friends or family members who have or are fighting cancer.  A $10 donation is required for the ice painting, with proceeds going to local cancer charities, and tickets can be purchased through the Penguins front office, or at the Fan Assistance Booth at any home game during the month.

Our friends from the American Cancer Society will also be on hand to help spread the word on the fight against the disease, and Geisinger will be providing pink thunder sticks to fans as they enter the building.

Seats for all Penguins home games are available at the Mohegan Sun Arena box office, online at TicketMaster.com, or by calling 570-208-7367.

Season ticket packages for the Penguins’ 2019-20 regular season, including 22-game, 12-game, Flexbook and Premium Seating plans, are available by reaching out to the Penguins directly at (570) 208-7367.
