BRENT, MINARD, STONE RETURNED TO WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON

groupWILKES-BARRE, PA – The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned forwards Tim Brent, Chris Minard and Ryan Stone to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Friday.

Brent, 23, was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on January 20, and made his Pittsburgh Penguins debut on January 21 against the Washington Capitals, going scoreless and minus-1.

The 6-0, 197 pound native of Cambridge, Ontario currently leads Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with 35 points and 28 assists in 39 games this season.

Minard, 26, was also recalled on January 20, and made his NHL debut in the game against the Capitals, going scoreless and minus-1.

The 6-1, 200 pound center from Owen Sound, Ontario leads Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with 17 goals and ranks third on the team with 31 points.

Stone, 22, was recalled by Pittsburgh on January 7, and made his NHL debut against the Tampa Bay Lightning on January 10. He appeared in four games with Pittsburgh in his first NHL stint, going scoreless and minus-1.
                                                                                                                        
The 6-2, 199 pound center from Calgary is eighth on Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with 19 points (7+12) in 34 games this season. For his career, Stone has recorded 88 points (28+60) in 150 AHL games with the Penguins.

Brent, Minard and Stone are expected to be available for Friday night’s contest against the Portland Pirates at 7:05pm.
