PITTSBURGH REASSIGNS JAMES TO WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON
WILKES-BARRE, PA –The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned Connor James to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Sunday.
James, 25, was recalled by Pittsburgh for the second time this season on February 15. He has appeared in five games in two stints with the NHL club, going scoreless and minus-1.
The Calgary native currently ranks fifth on Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with 30 points (8+22) while appearing in 48 games.
In parts of two seasons with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, James has recorded 62 points (20+42) in 118 games.
BROWN REASSIGNED FROM WHEELING
WILKES-BARRE, PA –The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned goaltender David Brown from the Wheeling Nailers to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Sunday.
Brown, 23, played in the Nailers 4-3 win Friday against the Elmira Jackals, and in a 6-3 loss to the Reading Royals on Saturday.
In 12 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, Brown has posted a 6-5-1 record with a 2.49 goals against average and a .911 save percentage.
Brown was the Pittsburgh Penguins in the eighth round (228th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
