CONNOR JAMES RETURNS

groupThe Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned forward Connor James to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, it was announced today by Executive Vice President/General Manager Ray Shero.  James had been recalled on an emergency basis.

James played in four games since being recalled on March 11th.  He has played a total of 12 games in five stints in Pittsburgh this season.  James was recalled on February 26th vs. the New York Islanders and recorded his first NHL goal.  He made his Penguins debut on December 15th vs. the New York Islanders during his first recall to Pittsburgh. 

James has registered 32 points (eight goals, 24 assists) in 53 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season.  He is currently tied for third on the team in assists (24).  James was originally signed by the Penguins as a free agent on August 9th, 2006.  He made his NHL debut during the 2005-06 season playing two games with the Los Angeles Kings.
