BOAK LOANED TO WHEELING

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that Alex Boak has been loaned to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).   Boak signed with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on July 15, following four seasons at Clarkson University.  The 24-year old from Norwood, New York has appeared in five games this season with the Penguins, registering 10 penalty minutes and a +1 plus-minus rating.   Boak totaled seven goals, 24 assists and 357 penalty minutes over 148 games with the Golden… read more

PENGUINS ASSIGN D’AGOSTINO TO WBS

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned defenseman Nick D’Agostino to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), it was announced today.   D’Agostino has collected a goal, three assists and two penalty minutes in five games with the Nailers this season.  The 23-year old, second-year defenseman has also made one appearance for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.    In 2013-14, D’Agostino posted 10 points (1G-9A) and 15 penalty… read more

MEGNA RECALLED BY PITTSBURGH

November 22, 2014 The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Jayson Megna from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. Megna, 24, had a goal and an assist last night for the WBS Penguins in a 5-1 win at Albany. PENGUINS BURN DEVILS, 5-1

November 21, 2014 The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins jumped out to a 2-0 lead three and a half minutes into the game and never looked back, as they defeated the Albany Devils, 5-1, on Friday night at the Times Union Center.
