ZOLNIERCZYK, DUMOULIN BACK TO WBS

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Harry Zolnierczyk and defenseman Brian Dumoulin to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. Zolnierczyk has one goal in nine games with Pittsburgh this season. Dumoulin registered one assist in six games during the first NHL action of his career. ROWNEY RECALLED BY PENGUINS FROM WHEELING

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have recalled forward Carter Rowney from loan to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), while returning defenseman Dustin Stevenson on loan to the Nailers.    Rowney joins Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for the second time this season.  The 23-year old rookie has skated in three contests for the Penguins after making his team debut on Nov. 29 against the Binghamton Senators.  Rowney is second on the Nailers in… read more

Upcoming weekend sees W-B/Scranton battle East Division foes  Weekly Rewind Fri., Dec. 20– PENGUINS 1 vs. Worcester 4 Worcester held W-B/Scranton to eight shots through two periods and built a three-goal lead before scoring a 4-1 triumph in Wilkes-Barre.
