KOBASEW STRETCHES GOAL STREAK TO SIX GAMES IN WIN

The dynamic duo of Chuck Kobasew and Andrew Ebbett continued their scoring streaks on Friday night. Ebbett set up Kobasew’s second period goal less than a minute into the second period, and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins posted a 2-1 win over the Norfolk Admirals at the Scope on Friday night. Chuck Kobasew’s goal at 1:22 of overtime was the difference, as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins posted a 3-2 victory against the Albany Devils on Sunday afternoon at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. COMETS SNAP PENS WINNING STREAK WITH 2-1 VICTORY

Colin Stuart’s goal eight minutes into the third period proved to be the difference, as the Utica Comets skated to a 2-1 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in front of a sold out Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday night. MANNINO POSTS SECOND STRAIGHT SHUTOUT, BLANKS CRUNCH 2-0

Peter Mannino stopped 16 shots en route to his second consecutive shutout, as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins posted a 2-0 win over the Syracuse Crunch on Friday night at the OnCenter.  The win was the fifth in a row for the Penguins (35-20-3-5, 78 points), who remain one point behind the Binghamton Senators in the race for the East Division title. PENS MOVE INTO TIE FOR FIRST IN EAST DIVISION WITH SHOOTOUT WIN

Nick Drazenovic and Andrew Ebbett combined to force overtime with 12.9 seconds left in regulation, then each tallied in the shootout to help the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 4-3 win against the Toronto Marlies on Sunday afternoon.
