PENGUINS ANNOUNCE REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE FOR 2015-16

August 27, 2015   WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will hit the ice for their 17th season in the American Hockey League on Friday, October 9, when they face off with the Providence Bruins in Rhode Island.  The full 2015-16 AHL regular season schedule was announced Thursday afternoon.   After a two-game road trip which sees games against the Bruins and Bridgeport Sound Tigers (Saturday, October 10), the Penguins will open the home portion of their schedule… read more

2016 PENGUINS HALL OF FAME VOTING

Voting is now underway for the 2016 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Hall of Fame class.  A maximum of two (2) players from a list of 20 will be selected for induction into the team's Hall of Fame. In order to be considered for inclusion, players must meet the following requirements: 1. Must have spent parts of at least two (2) seasons in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 2. PENGUINS SIGN GOALTENDER BRIAN FOSTER

July 17, 2015   The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Dominik Uher to a one-year contract, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.   The deal is a two-way contract that carries an average annual value of $575,000 at the NHL level.   Uher, 22, has spent most of the past three years playing in the American Hockey League for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. PITTSBURGH PENGUINS RE-SIGN BEAU BENNETT

July 15, 2015   The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed forward Beau Bennett to a one-year contract, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.   The deal carries an average annual value of $800,000.   Bennett, 23, finished the 2014-15 season with four goals, eight assists and 12 points in 49 games. July 15, 2015   The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Dominik Simon to a three-year, entry-level contract, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.   Simon, 20, was drafted by Pittsburgh in the fifth round (137th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft, and will make the move from his native Praha, Czech Republic to play in North America this season.
