POULIOT BACK TO PITTSBURGH

March 24, 2015 The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Derrick Pouliot from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. Forward Andrew Ebbett has been re-assigned to WBS. Pouliot, 20, has played in 26 NHL games with Pittsburgh this season, scoring two goals, three assists and five points while averaging 17:15 minutes. PENGUINS ASSIGN RUOPP TO WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON

PENGUINS SIGN DEFENSEMAN DANNY SYVRET TO PTO

  WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today announced that they have signed defenseman Danny Syvret to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).    The 10th-year veteran appeared in 58 games this year for the Iowa Wild, recording four goals, 14 assists and 18 penalty minutes.  Last season, Syvret led Hartford in both assists (37) and points (46) and was the only Wolf Pack player to appear in all 76 games.    Syvret, 29, has skated in 617 AHL contests… read more

MURRAY EARNS SECOND CCM/AHL PLAYER OF WEEK HONORS

MURRAY SETS NEW AHL SHUTOUT RECORD

MARCH 8, 2015 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goaltender Matt Murray etched his name in the American Hockey League record book today, setting a new league mark for longest shutout streak during the Penguins game against the Springfield Falcons.
