PENS RECALL ROWNEY FROM WHEELING

November 5, 2014 WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that forward Carter Rowney has been recalled from loan to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).    Rowney is currently tied for the lead on the Nailers with seven points (1G-6A) in five games this season.  The 25-year old second-year pro split last year between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Wheeling, chipping in two goals and two assists in 24 games for the Penguins.  Despite appearing in just 39… read more

PITTSBURGH RECALLS HARRINGTON

November 3, 2014 The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Scott Harrington from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. Harrington, 21, spent time with Pittsburgh earlier this season, but did not appear in any games. He has skated in seven AHL contests with WBS, collecting two assists. November 2, 2014 The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Jayson Megna to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. Megna has played in nine AHL games with WBS this season, tallying three points (2G-1A). October 30, 2014 The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Jayson Megna from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned defenseman Harrison Ruopp from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), it was announced today.    A second-year pro from Zehner, Saskatchewan, Ruopp has appeared in one game for Wilkes-Barre/Sranton this year.
