2014-15 THIRD JERSEY REVEALED

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins unveiled their alternate sweater for the 2014-15 season on Monday morning at the Toyota SportsPlex in Wilkes-Barre. The jersey, featuring a predominantly sky blue background, is based the road sweaters worn by the Pittsburgh Penguins between 1968 and 1972. The Penguins will wear the sweaters a minimum of 10 times during the upcoming season, which gets underway on Saturday, October 11 against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. 2014-15 SCHEDULE RELEASED

WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will open their 16th season of play at home on Saturday, October 11, when they welcome the Lehigh Valley Phantoms to the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.  The Penguins, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, released its full 2014-15 schedule this morning. PENGUINS 2014 PRESEASON SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

GOERS AND ROWNEY SIGN WITH W-B/SCRANTON

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that have signed defensemen Barry Goers and forward Carter Rowney to one-year American Hockey League contracts.    Goers began last season with the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) and spent several stints with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton before signing an AHL contract with the Penguins on March 19.  The 28-year old skated in 23 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and posted a goal and six assists, while registering 11 points… read more

PENS SIGN D-MEN BOAK AND SEYMOUR

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that have signed defensemen Alex Boak and Clark Seymour to one-year American Hockey League contracts.    Boak signed an amateur try-out agreement with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last year on March 22, following four seasons with Clarkson University.  The 24-year old from Norwood, New York totaled seven goals, 24 assists and 357 penalty minutes over 148 games with the Golden Knights.  Boak went on to make his… read more
