WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced today that defenseman Philip Samuelsson has been selected CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 19, 2014. The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. Letourneau-Leblond, 28, is in his first season in the Pittsburgh organization. He has spent the entire campaign thus far with WBS, posting two points (1G-1A) and 137 penalty minutes. The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Nick Drazenovic (DRUH-zehn-oh-vihk) from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. Drazenovic, 26, currently places fifth on WBS with 20 points (7G-13A) in 26 games this season. Severyn from his professional tryout agreement (PTO).    Signed to a PTO by the Penguins on Dec. 2, Severyn appeared in four games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording four penalty minutes.  A third-year pro and native of Beaver, Pa., Severyn had posted six goals, 11 assists and 66 penalty minutes in 19 games this season with the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears. … read more
