PITTSBURGH ASSIGNS KOBASEW TO WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Chuck Kobasew to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. Kobasew has played in 32 games this season with Pittsburgh, including his 600th career NHL game in last night’s 3-1 win at Nashville. KUHNHACKL AND ZLOBIN RETURN TO PENGUINS

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that forwards Tom Kuhnhackl and Anton Zlobin have been assigned from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) by the Pittsburgh Penguins.    Kuhnhackl has recorded eight goals, two assists and 22 penalty minutes in 48 games this season for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.  The 22-year old made his first appearance of the season with Wheeling on Friday, skating in the Nailers’ 6-4 come-from-behind victory over the Elmira Jackals.… read more
