CIANFRINI RELEASED FROM PTO BY PENGUINS

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today announced that defenseman Paul Cianfrini has been released from his professional tryout agreement (PTO).    Cianfrini joined Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for the second time this season after signing a PTO on Dec. 26, 2014.  The 25-year-old made his American Hockey League and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton debut on Dec. 20 at Binghamton and has played in three total games with the Penguins.   He has also collected one goal,… read more

December 31, 2014 The Pittsburgh Penguins have returned forward Dominik Uher and defenseman Brian Dumoulin to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. Dunkin’ Donuts of Northeastern Pennsylvania has teamed up with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to support the CEO Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank. MUROVICH RECALLED BY PENGUINS

  WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have recalled forward Tyler Murovich from loan to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).    Murovich has collected three goals, three assists and 32 penalty minutes in 21 games this season for the Nailers.  The 25-year-old split last year between the Iowa Wild (AHL) and the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears.  In 60 games with Orlando, Murovich posted 30 points (18G-12A) and 64 penalty minutes, while… read more

PITTSBURGH RECALLS ZATKOFF, MEGNA

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled Jeff Zatkoff and Jayson Megna from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by Executive Vice President and General Manager Jim Rutherford. Zatkoff saw action in his first NHL game of the season last Saturday at Tampa Bay, stopping 16 of the 17 shots he faced in 37 minutes of relief.
