FARNHAM RECALLED BY PITTSBURGH

JANUARY 20, 2015 The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Bobby Farnham from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, it was announced on Tuesday morning. Farnham made his NHL debut on December 13 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and has played in 10 games with Pittsburgh this season, recording 19 penalty minutes. He has four points (1G-3A) and 113 penalty minutes in 23 AHL contests with WBS. Last season the 5-foot-10, 188-pound Farnham established AHL career highs with seven goals and 14 points in 64 games.… read more

AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE ANNOUNCES SUSPENSION

JANUARY 19, 2015 The American Hockey League today announced that Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins right wing Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of a match penalty for boarding, assessed in a game at Providence on Jan. 18. Letourneau-Leblond will miss Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s games Wednesday (Jan. 21) vs. St. John’s and Friday (Jan. 23) and Saturday (Jan. 24) at Norfolk. read more

PITTSBURGH RECALLS HARRINGTON FROM WILKES-BARRE

JANUARY 16, 2015 The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Scott Harrington from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. Harrington, 21, has played in six NHL games with Pittsburgh this season, making his NHL debut Dec. 18 against Colorado. PENGUINS RELEASE GILL FROM PTO

JANUARY 16, 2015     WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have released forward Sahir Gill from his professional tryout agreement (PTO).   Gill, 22, played in 12 games for the Penguins, collecting one goal and two assists.  He tallied his first career AHL goal on Jan. 2 versus Binghamton.    Prior to signing a PTO with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Dec. 4, 2014, Gill had posted 14 points (4G-10A) in 14 contests for the Wheeling… read more

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Taylor Chorney from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.   WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today announced that defenseman Clark Seymour has been returned on loan to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).
