Penguins Stretch Season-Best Point Streak to Eight Games   Weekly Rewind Sat., Feb. 21 – PENGUINS 2 vs. Providence 0 Matt Murray made 22 saves and recorded his seventh shutout of the season in a 2-0 win against the Providence Bruins.  After a scoreless first period, Scott Wilson was able to find the back of the net at 13:30 of the second during the last few seconds of a W-B/Scranton power play. ARCHIBALD, DEA AND RUOPP ASSIGNED TO WBS

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned forwards Josh Archibald and Jean-Sebastien Dea and defenseman Harrison Ruopp to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), it was announced today.    Archibald has recorded two goals, four assists and 11 penalty minutes in 31 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season.  The 22-year-old rookie registered his first professional hat trick on Sunday in Wheeling’s 4-1 win at Kalamazoo… read more

FEBRUARY 20, 2008: Tim Brent scored twelve seconds into overtime to lift the Penguins over the Hershey Bears by the score of 3-2 in Wilkes-Barre. The game was back and forth as Jonathon Filewich’s goal put the Pens ahead 1-0 entering the second period.
