WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have signed right wing Andrew Orpik to an American Hockey League contract, it was announced on Friday. Orpik, 24, spent most of last season with the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL). The 6-3, 200-lb. forward posted 22 points (10G, 12A) and 38 penalty minutes in 35 games. The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed defenseman Corey Potter to a one-year contract, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. The deal is for the 2010-11 season and is a two-way contract that will pay Potter $500,000 at the NHL level.
