By Michael Mazzuca The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins look to continue their winning streak against the division-leading Hershey Bears Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Mohegan Sun Arena. The Penguins (34-19-2-4, Second Place, East Division) are coming home after taking two out of three games on the road this past weekend. PENGUINS SIGN DEFENSEMAN DANNY SYVRET TO PTO

  WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today announced that they have signed defenseman Danny Syvret to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).    The 10th-year veteran appeared in 58 games this year for the Iowa Wild, recording four goals, 14 assists and 18 penalty minutes.  Last season, Syvret led Hartford in both assists (37) and points (46) and was the only Wolf Pack player to appear in all 76 games.    Syvret, 29, has skated in 617 AHL contests… read more

MURRAY EARNS SECOND CCM/AHL PLAYER OF WEEK HONORS

MURRAY SETS NEW AHL SHUTOUT RECORD

MARCH 8, 2015 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goaltender Matt Murray etched his name in the American Hockey League record book today, setting a new league mark for longest shutout streak during the Penguins game against the Springfield Falcons. PENGUINS ASSIGN DEA AND RUOPP TO WBS
