PENGUINS SIGN GOALIE CASEY DeSMITH

April 10, 2016   WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed goaltender Casey DeSmith to a professional tryout contract. DeSmith 24, is in his first season of professional hockey and has appeared in 13 games with the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) this year. The rookie posted a 2.55 goals against average, .915 save percentage, and a 5-2-0-2 record in that time.
