GAME TIME CHANGED FOR ROAD CONTEST AGAINST ALBANY

QUICK-SCORING CRUNCH SKATE PAST PENGUINS

PENGUINS ASSIGN THREE TO WHEELING

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that defenseman Nick D’Agostino has been assigned by the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).  In addition, defenseman Peter Merth and forward Cody Sylvester have also been loaned to Wheeling.      Skating in his first professional season, D’Agostino has collected one goal, six assists and 11 penalty minutes in 25 contests with the Penguins.  His first pro goal was… read more

The final rosters for all 12 teams competing in the men’s ice hockey tournament at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, have been released, and four former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins players will be representing their countries. PENGUINS BEGIN NEW YEAR WITH SHOOTOUT WIN OVER WOLF PACK

ORPIK NAMED TO US MEN’S OLYMPIC TEAM

Former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik has been named to the 2014 United States Men’s Olympic Hockey Team.  The announcement of the full team roster was made by USA Hockey on January 1. Orpik, 33, will be competing in his second straight Olympics after helping the Americans capture a silver medal in 2010 at the Vancouver Games.  Orpik played in all six games for the Americans in 2010, finishing with a plus-2 rating.
