SAMUELSSON NAMED CCM/AHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced today that defenseman Philip Samuelsson has been selected CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 19, 2014. DEFENSE LEADS PENGUINS PAST PIRATES

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned defenseman Simon Despres and forwards Nick Drazenovic and Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Nick Drazenovic (DRUH-zehn-oh-vihk) from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
