ROWNEY RECALLED BY PENGUINS FROM WHEELING

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have recalled forward Carter Rowney from loan to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), while returning defenseman Dustin Stevenson on loan to the Nailers.    Rowney joins Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for the second time this season.  The 23-year old rookie has skated in three contests for the Penguins after making his team debut on Nov. 29 against the Binghamton Senators.  Rowney is second on the Nailers in… read more

PENGUINS END HOMESTAND WITH LOSS TO ADMIRALS

PENGUINS SIGN TORQUATO TO PTO

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed center Zack Torquato to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).    Currently in his third season with the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), Torquato has registered 31 points (9g-22a) and 18 penalty minutes in 25 games this season and is the team’s leader in goals, assists and points.
