GIBBONS BACK TO THE BURGH

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Brian Gibbons from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. Gibbons, 25, is in his second stint of the season with the Penguins. He scored his first NHL goal and added an assist for two points in a 3-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Nov. 18. PENGUINS RECALL STEVENSON FROM WHEELING

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have recalled defenseman Dustin Stevenson from loan to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).    Stevenson, 24, made his American Hockey League debut earlier this season, appearing in four games for the Penguins and recording two penalty minutes.  In 14 games this season with Wheeling, the fourth-year pro has posted five assists and 38 PIM.    Stevenson has totaled three goals, 31 assists and 298… read more

ZOLNIERCZYK, SAMUELSSON RECALLED

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Philip Samuelsson and forward Harry Zolnierczyk from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. PENGUINS SLIDE BY COMETS

PENGUINS DEFEAT BEARS AS KOSTOPOULOS REACHES MILESTONE

GOERS SIGNED TO PTO BY PENGUINS

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed defenseman Barry Goers to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).    A fourth-year pro from Ivyland, Pa., Goers has posted one goal, four assists and two penalty minutes in 10 games for the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers.  The 27-year old has skated in 40 American Hockey League contests with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Lake Erie Monsters, collecting eight assists and 19 PIM.  … read more
