PENGUINS REASSIGN FOUR TO WHEELING

March 4, 2016   WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today they have reassigned four players to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL). Forwards John McCarron and Tyler Biggs, as well as defensemen Harrison Ruopp and Clark Seymour will join the Nailers. McCarron has appeared in 12 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season and has not recorded any points. PENGUINS ACQUIRE PLACHTA FROM COYOTES

  February 29, 2016   The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired forward Matthias Plachta and a conditional 2017 seventh-round draft pick from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Sergei Plotnikov, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.     Plachta is currently on a two-way contract that carries an average annual value of $743,000 at the NHL level. February 28, 2016 BOXSCORE   PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Tristan Jarry turned in one of the best performances of the season by a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goalie on Sunday afternoon, but the rookie was still handed a 3-2 loss to the Providence Bruins.
