FAST START HELPS PENGUINS DOWN BEARS, 3-1

PENGUINS RECALL ALEX BOAK FROM WHEELING

  WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today announced that defenseman Alex Boak has been recalled from loan to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).   Boak has skated in 22 games for the Penguins this season, recording one goal, three assists and 49 penalty minutes.  A 25-year old rookie from Norwood, NY, Boak has also played in 10 contests this year for the Nailers.  He netted his first ECHL goal on Mar. 7 with the game-winning tally in the Wheeling’s 4-3… read more

PENGUINS SIGN DEFENSEMAN DANNY SYVRET TO PTO

  WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today announced that they have signed defenseman Danny Syvret to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).    The 10th-year veteran appeared in 58 games this year for the Iowa Wild, recording four goals, 14 assists and 18 penalty minutes.  Last season, Syvret led Hartford in both assists (37) and points (46) and was the only Wolf Pack player to appear in all 76 games.    Syvret, 29, has skated in 617 AHL contests… read more
