DUMOULIN REJOINS PITTSBURGH

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Brian Dumoulin from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. Dumoulin, 23, helped the WBS Penguins earn a 2-1 win last night against Norfolk, finishing plus-1 with one shot. HARTZELL AND MUROVICH ASSIGNED TO WHEELING

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned goaltender Eric Hartzell from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), it was announced today.  In a separate transaction, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has returned forward Tyler Murovich on loan to Wheeling.    In two appearances this season for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Hartzell has gone 2-0-0 with a 2.92 goals against average and a .882 save percentage.   He has also compiled a record of 5-4-0… read more

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Dominik Uher from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. Uher, 21, made his NHL debut with Pittsburgh on Dec. 23 at Tampa Bay, becoming the sixth Penguins player this month to make his NHL debut. MUROVICH RECALLED BY PENGUINS

PITTSBURGH RECALLS ZATKOFF, MEGNA

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled Jeff Zatkoff and Jayson Megna from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by Executive Vice President and General Manager Jim Rutherford. Zatkoff saw action in his first NHL game of the season last Saturday at Tampa Bay, stopping 16 of the 17 shots he faced in 37 minutes of relief.
