PENGUINS UPENDED BY CRUNCH, 7-5

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – A four-goal first period by the Syracuse Crunch doomed the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 7-5 loss on Wednesday at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. PICARD RE-ASSIGNED TO WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned defenseman Alexandre Picard to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. WORCESTER, Mass. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins suffered their first regulation loss on the road this season with a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Worcester Sharks on Sunday at the DCU Center.
