NORFOLK, VA – The Penguins took a two-goal lead into the third period, only to see the Norfolk Admirals force overtime and eventually come away with a 4-3 win on Saturday night at the Scope. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton ran off three straight goals, getting scoring from Mark Letestu, Luca Caputi and Joey Mormina, to take a 3-1 lead after 40 minutes of play. Letestu and Mormina's goals were their first of the season. But Brandon Bochenski and Paul Szczechura scored 13 mintues apart to force overtime, and Matt Smaby beat Adam Berkhoel at 2:13 of overtime to give the hosts the victory. The point allowed the Penguins (11-9-1-1, 24 points) to move into third place in the East Division, while Norfolk (7-11-1-3, 18 points) leaped past the Albany River Rats into sixth place in the division. Berkhoel made 44 saves in the loss, while Mike McKenna picked up the win in relief of Kari Ramo. McKenna faced just four shots over the final 22:13 of play for his second victory of the year.
