WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed defenseman Alex Boak to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO). 
Boak was a four-year letterman for the men’s ice hockey team at Clarkson University and totaled seven goals, 24 assists and 357 penalty minutes over 148 games from 2010-14.  The 24-year from Norwood, New York joins the Penguins after finishing his senior season with the Golden Knights, where he posted five assists over 41 contests. 
Boak also played three-plus seasons of junior hockey with the Brockville Braves of the Central Junior Hockey League (2006-10).  With the Braves, he compiled 52 points (8g-44a) and 113 penalty minutes in 128 games. 
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins return home on Saturday, Mar. 22 to battle the Utica Comets at 7:05pm.
