JOEY HADDAD REASSIGNED TO PENGUINS
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned left wing Joey Haddad from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Monday.
Haddad, 21, joins the Penguins for the first time this season. He is currently tied for the scoring lead on the Nailers with ten points (4G, 6A) in 12 games. His plus-5 rating also leads all Nailers players. Haddad finished with 20 points (7G, 13A) and 52 penalty minutes in 34 games with Wheeling last season.
The 6-2, 200-lb. native of Sydney, NS also appeared in 29 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2009-10, posting six points (1G, 5A) and 24 penalty minutes. Haddad scored his first AHL goal on March 28, 2010 against the Worcester Sharks.
The Penguins are on the road tomorrow, November 16 to take on the Albany Devils at 7:00pm. The team will return home face the Norfolk Admirals for the first time this season on Friday, November 19 at 7:05pm.
