Jayson MegnaThe Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Jayson Megna to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

Megna played in six NHL games with Pittsburgh, notching two goals and three points. He scored his first NHL goal against Justin Peters and the Carolina Hurricanes on Oct. 28.

A free agent signing by Pittsburgh on August 1, 2012, Megna recorded 12 points (5+7) in 65 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton during his rookie year. He began the 2013-14 season in Wilkes-Barre, recording five points (3+2) and a plus-8 rating in the team's first six games this year.

Megna is expected to be available for the Penguins contests on Friday at Syracuse and Saturday at home against the Hershey Bears. Good seats for all Penguins home games are on sale now and available at the Mohegan Sun Arena box office, online at or by calling 570-208-7367.
