The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will have some new looks for the 2013-14 season....and we're not just talking about new players.
The Pens unveiled a new 15th season alternate jersey on Friday, as well as revamped home and road jerseys.
The new alternate (pictured right, modeled by Dominik Uher) features a predominately gold background with black and white striping, and the team’s 15th season logo on the crest.
The home (white) and road (black) sweaters originally debuted during the 2011-12 season, and were worn as the team’s warm-up and alternate sweaters respectively. The designs proved so popular with fans that they have returned to the ice in more prominent roles this year.
Fans will be able to purchase their own jerseys in the Penguins team store, located inside the Ice Rink at Coal Street (40 Coal Street in Wilkes-Barre) in mid-September. Check back here for updates on when they will be delivered, or follow the Pens on Twitter and Facebook for updates.
