Penguins Sign Payerl to ATO
Forward joins W-B/Scranton from OHL’s Belleville Bulls
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Adam Payerl to an amateur try-out agreement.
Payerl recently completed his third season with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League, having set career highs with 22 goals, 47 points and 106 penalty minutes. The 21-year old finished third on the Bulls in both assists (25) and points (47) and was fourth in goals (22).
A native of Kitchener, Ontario, Payerl split his five OHL seasons between Belleville and the Barrie Colts. In 302 career regular-season contests, Payerl recorded 58 goals, 82 assists, 140 points and 299 penalty minutes. He added a goal and three assists in 16 career postseason contests.
