Penguins Team Up with Triathlete Timothy O’Donnell to Assist Disabled Veterans
Military jersey auction to benefit Team Red, White and Blue
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are joining forces with World Champion Triathlete and Shavertown, PA-native Timothy O’Donnell to raise funds for Team Red, White & Blue.
All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit Team Red, White & Blue – an organization whose mission is to transform the way wounded veterans are reintegrated into society when they return from combat and exit their position.
O’Donnell is not only a former resident of the Wyoming Valley, but was also an officer in the United States Navy. A world-renowned triathlete, O’Donnell most recently claimed first place at Ironman 70.3 Texas, defeating Lance Armstrong among other competitors to win the U.S. Pro Championship.
