Penguins Head to Newfoundland for Two Games against IceCaps
W-B/S picks up three out of four points over final weekend in November

Wed., Nov. 27 – Penguins 1 at ADIRONDACK 3
Despite a combined 15 power plays for both teams, it was two even-strength goals in the second period that allowed the Phantoms to pull ahead for a 3-1 win in Glens Falls, N.Y. Brandon Manning collected two assists for Adirondack.  Tom Kostopoulos tallied W-B/Scranton’s goal during a 5-on-3 advantage.    
 
Fri., Nov. 29 – PENGUINS 1 vs. Binghamton 0
In his second start for the Penguins, Eric Hartzell made 25 saves for his first AHL shutout and a 1-0 win for W-B/Scranton.  Harry Zolnierczyk notched his team-leading ninth of the season with 4:14 left in the second period for the game’s only goal. 
 
Sat., Nov. 30 – Penguins 2 at HERSHEY 3 (OT)
A third-period rally by the Penguins was thwarted when defenseman David Kolomatis scored with 6.6 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Bears to the 3-2 victory.  Trailing 2-0 going into the third period, W-B/Scranton received goals from Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond and Mike Carman to pull even and force OT. 
 
The Week Ahead
Fri., Dec. 6 – Penguins at ST. JOHN’S 
Sat., Dec. 7 – Penguins at ST. JOHN’S 
The weekend set in Newfoundland wraps up the four-game regular season series between the Penguins and IceCaps.  The two teams split their first two meetings on Nov. 22 and 23.  St. John’s edged the Penguins, 2-1, on Friday night, while W-B/Scranton rallied for a 5-2 win the following evening.  The Penguins are now 7-3-0-0 all-time versus the IceCaps and 4-0-0-0 at Mile One Centre in St. John’s.

·   W-B/Scranton’s last 1-0 regulation win came on Jan. 11 against Hershey at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.
·   Tom Kostopoulos is two points away from the 500th of his pro career.
·   W-B/Scranton has a 4-0-1-0 record against the Bears this season, despite the Bears scoring first in all five meetings.
·   The Penguins are now 7-1-1-2 versus East Division opponents.
·   Brian Gibbons’ six-game assist streak (7a) is tied for the third longest in the league this season.
