Two East Division Opponents on the Slate this Week for W-B/S
Penguins look to put halt to three-game winless streak 
 
Weekly Rewind
Wed., Nov. 6 – PENGUINS 3 vs. Syracuse 4 (SO)
Andrew Ebbett collected two goals for the Penguins, but it was the Crunch prevailing in the shootout, 4-3.  Evan Rankin knotted the score for Syracuse with 4:22 left in regulation.  Crunch goalie Kristers Gudlevskis stopped all four shooters he faced, while Tanner Richard and Nikita Kucherov converted for Syracuse. 
 
Fri., Nov. 8 – PENGUINS 5 vs. Albany 6
Mike Sislo’s four-point night included a hat trick and the game-winning goal at 11:45 of the third as the Devils fended off a Penguins comeback for a 6-5 victory.  Harry Zolnierczyk, Chris Conner and Tom Kostopoulos each registered a goal and an assist for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. 
 
Sun., Nov. 10 – Penguins 3 at SPRINGFIELD 4
Simon Despres’ two-goal game was not enough to lead a Penguins rally as Ryan Craig notched the decisive tally for Springfield with 2:43 left in regulation to give his team the win.  Kostopoulos recorded two assists in the contest. 
 
The Week Ahead
Fri., Nov. 15 – Penguins at SYRACUSE
Syracuse has won eight of its last nine to take over first place in the East Division.  Each team has collected one road win in the season series thus far.  Vlad Namestnikov is currently riding an AHL-best 12-game point streak (7g-12a).
 
Sat., Nov. 16 – PENGUINS vs. Hershey
This is the third meeting of the month and fourth overall between the Penguins and Bears.  Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is 3-0 versus Hershey this season and has won seven of the last eight dating back to last season.  The two teams will face each other next on Nov. 30 at Mohegan Sun Arena.  
Ice Chips
·   Simon Despres recorded the first multi-goal game of his pro career with a pair of even-strength markers at Springfield on Sunday.
·   Despres has also totaled five points in his last four games (2g-3a) with a +4 plus/minus rating.   
·   Brendan Mikkelson is tied for first among defensemen and tied for second overall in the AHL with seven power play assists.
·   Mikkelson is tied for the longest active road assist streak in the AHL this season at six games (7a).
