Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to Help “Light the Night”
Front office to walk in support of Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – With the hopes of helping the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in their fight to end blood cancers, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be participating in the “Light the Night” Walk on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Nay Aug Park in Scranton.
This is a cause that hits close to the home for the Penguins as Season Ticket Sales Executive Chris Kobela recently completed his second battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Chris will be leading a team for the walk with other members of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton organization. If you would like to participate in the Light the Night Walk or donate to the team, visit here.
In addition, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will host their 2nd Annual Thanks 4 Fighting Night in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society when they face off against the Adirondack Phantoms on Feb. 2. Fans who wish to support the cause can purchase a special package that includes a ticket to the Feb. 2 game, a Penguins hat and food vouchers for a hot dog, soda and potato chips. Four dollars from each ticket sold will go back to benefit the LLS.
This offer is available exclusively through the Penguins Front Office by calling (570) 208-PENS.
