PENGUINS RE-SIGN BARRY GOERS

July 8, 2016   WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have re-signed defenseman Barry Goers to an American Hockey League contract for the 2016-17 season. Goers underwent preseason hip surgery last year, but returned to the Penguins’ line-up on Mar. 4 and went on to record two assists in 16 games. July 7, 2016   WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Sahir Gill to an American Hockey League contract for the 2016-17 season. In his third professional season, Gill recorded AHL career highs with 21 games played, five goals, nine assists, and 14 points. PITTSBURGH SIGNS GARRETT WILSON

  July 7, 2016   The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Garrett Wilson to a one-year contract, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.   The deal is a two-way contract that contains an average annual value of $575,000 at the NHL level.   Wilson, 25, split the 2015-16 season between the Florida Panthers and their minor-league affiliate, the Portland Pirates. July 6, 2016   WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Adam Krause to an American Hockey League contract for the 2016-17 season. In 15 games during his rookie season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Krause recorded four points (1G-3A).
