POULIOT ASSIGNED TO WILKES-BARRE

The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned defenseman Derrick Pouliot to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. The eighth overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft, Pouliot has been rehabbing from offseason shoulder surgery. PENS LOOK TO COMPLETE ROAD SWEEP IN ALBANY

The Penguins complete their three-game road trip on Tuesday night when they face the Albany Devils at 7:00pm at the Times Union Center. EBBETT, HARRINGTON ASSIGNED TO WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON

October 20, 2014 The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned forward Andrew Ebbett and defenseman Scott Harrington (pictured) to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. The Penguins will look to build on their Friday night success when they meet up with the St. John's IceCaps in the second of two games tonight at the Mile One Centre in Newfoundland. PENS BATTLE BACK FOR 2-1 OT WIN

RETURN TO THE ROCK

The Penguins return to the rock this weekend to face the St. John’s IceCaps in a two-game series on Friday and Saturday nights.  Both contests begin at 6:00pm Eastern Standard Time. The Pens and IceCaps last met this past June in the 2014 Eastern Conference Final, which St. John’s captured in six games.  The IceCaps advanced to the Calder Cup Final, where they fell to the Texas Stars in five games. PENS PA STATE TROOPER WARM UP JERSEY AUCTION

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be auctioning off special Pennsylvania State Police / PSP Strong warm up jerseys to benefit the families affected by the September 12 Blooming Grove shooting.
