May 1, 2016   WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The American Hockey League announced the schedule for the Atlantic Division Final between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Hershey Bears today. The Penguins’ second round best-of-seven series is set to start on Wednesday, May 4 at Hershey. DeSMITH STEPS IN TO LEAD PENS

By Brian Coe April 26, 2016 Prior to April 10, the sum total of Casey DeSmith’s ice time in the American Hockey League amounted to just 79:57. He outdid that total by nearly 14 minutes on Saturday night alone. JARRETT BURTON RELEASED FROM PTO

April 24, 2016   WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have released forward Jarrett Burton from his professional tryout contract. Burton will join the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), the team he led in points at the time of his PTO signing with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton back on Feb. 6, 2016.
