PITTSBURGH RECALLS NICK JOHNSON
The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Nick Johnson from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
Johnson, 24, has played three games for Pittsburgh this season. He made his NHL debut and scored his first career goal against the Washington Capitals Jan. 21.
Johnson (6-foot-2, 202 pounds) is in his second full season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and ranks fifth (tied) on the club with 22 points (7G-15A) in 27 contests.
