PENS FALL TO MAPLE LEAFS IN TOURNEY FINALE

LONDON, Ontario – Goaltender Antoine Bibeau turned aside all 25 shots he faced to lift the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 2-0 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the final game of the 2014 Rookie Tournament at Budweiser Gardens.   After a scoreless first period, the Maple Leafs were able to take a 1-0 at 5:11 of the second.  Jeremie Fraser’s point shot ricocheted off of a body in front of the crease and settled on the goal line before Brett Findlay swooped in to poke the puck past… read more

PENS GO FOR TOURNEY SWEEP TODAY

Pittsburgh vs. Toronto The Penguins will go for the tourney sweep as they battle the Toronto Maple Leafs at 2pm in the final game of the 2014 Rookie Tournament at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario.  On Sunday, in their last game, Pittsburgh saw Chicago erase a three-goal deficit and force overtime when Matt Carey knocked in a power play goal with just 1.5 seconds left in regulation.  It would be the first time that two teams played overtime under the new format adopted by the American… read more

PENS FEND OFF BLACKHAWKS WITH SHOOTOUT WIN

PENS RALLY PAST SENS AT ROOKIE TOURNEY

2014-15 THIRD JERSEY REVEALED

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins unveiled their alternate sweater for the 2014-15 season on Monday morning at the Toyota SportsPlex in Wilkes-Barre. The jersey, featuring a predominantly sky blue background, is based the road sweaters worn by the Pittsburgh Penguins between 1968 and 1972. The Penguins will wear the sweaters a minimum of 10 times during the upcoming season, which gets underway on Saturday, October 11 against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
