The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Luca Caputi from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero. Caputi, 20, has appeared in 46 contests with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, ranking fourth with 35 points (13 goals and 22 assists) along with 35 penalty minutes. The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Paul Bissonnette to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero. SYRACUSE, NY - Tim Wallace posted his first career multi-goal game, as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins posted a 4-1 win over the Syracuse Crunch Saturday night at the OnCenter. The win upped the Pens' record to 29-16-1-2, while Syracuse dropped to 22-20-3-2. WILKES-BARRE, PA - John Curry turned in a stunning performance on Friday night, stopping 46 shots during regulation and overtime, then snuffing all four shootout attempts he faced to lead the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 4-3, come-from-behind win against the Hershey Bears at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza. WORCESTER, MA - Jeff Taffe didn’t take home Most Valuable Player honors from the 2009 AHL All-Star Game, presented by Charter Communications. But he definitely threw his name in the ‘hat’.
