CAPTAIN CRAIG HELPS PENGUINS KING CHECKERS

WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Ryan Craig, Dustin Jeffrey and Tim Wallace each scored twice and John Curry stopped 34 shots to help the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 6-4 victory over the Charlotte Checkers on Wednesday night at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned defenseman Jon D’Aversa from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced today. JOEY HADDAD REASSIGNED TO PENGUINS

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned left wing Joey Haddad from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Monday. Haddad, 21, joins the Penguins for the first time this season. He is currently tied for the scoring lead on the Nailers with ten points (4G, 6A) in 12 games. VIM, VIGOR, VITALE – By Scott Stuccio Cam Janssen is a crash-the-net, mix-it-up, grinding player who was known as an enforcer on the ice. He spent 207 games in the NHL and amassed 546 penalty minutes to date. At age 26, he still has a long way to go in his pro career. The American Hockey League announced Monday that John Curry and Brad Thiessen of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have been named co-winners of the Reebok/AHL Goaltender of the Month award for October. Curry and Thiessen split the goaltending chores and combined to go 8-0-0 with a 1.84 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage as the Penguins remained the league’s only unbeaten team. WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned right wing Nick Petersen from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), it was announced on Monday.
