PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Penguins have been on a roll in December, posting a 5-1-0-0 mark prior to Sunday evening. The only loss in that time? A 4-1 defeat at the hand of the Philadelphia Phantoms. The intrastate rivals proved to pose a problem once again, posting a 2-1 win at the Spectrum on Sunday. CURRY, MINARD RETURN TO LEAD PENS TO WIN

WILKES-BARRE, PA – Chris Minard and John Curry both enjoyed lengthy stays with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the past month, even if they didn’t see the kind of playing time they were used to in the American Hockey League. PENGUINS HOLD OFF LATE RALLY, TAKE 4-3 WIN

SYRACUSE, NY – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins rattled off three goals in a span of 5:46 to jump out to a 4-1 third period lead over the Syracuse Crunch, then held off a late rally to take a 4-3 win Friday night at the Oncenter. FOUR GOAL FIRST HELPS PENS SINK ADMIRALS

NORFOLK, VA – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins exploded for four goals in the first 11:32 of play Wednesday night, then cruised to a 7-3 win against the Norfolk Admirals in front of 2,660 fans at the Scope. WILKES-BARRE, PA – Scott Munroe turned asided 28 of 29 shots, as the Philadelphia Phantoms posted a 4-1 win against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Sunday evening at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza.
