MURRAY NAMED AHL’S OUTSTANDING ROOKIE

  WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, in conjunction with American Hockey League, announced today that goaltender Matt Murray has been voted the winner of the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial Award as the AHL’s outstanding rookie for the 2014-15 season. PENGUINS SIGN JADEN LINDO TO ATO

  WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today announced that they have signed forward Jaden Lindo to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO).    Lindo, 19, recently completed his third season with the Ontario Hockey League’s Owen Sound Attack, registering seven goals, two assists and 34 penalty minutes in 49 games.    A native of Brampton, Ont., Lindo was a sixth-round selection (173rd overall) of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2014 NHL Draft.  … read more

April 14, 2015 The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Scott Wilson from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. PENGUINS DOWN PIRATES FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN

April 12, 2015 The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defensemen Brian Dumoulin and Scott Harrington from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. PENS & PIRATES START TWO-GAME SET TONIGHT

April 11, 2015 The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Portland Pirates face off in a two-game set this weekend in Maine.  The puck drops at 7:00pm on Saturday night, and 3:00pm on Sunday afternoon. PENGUINS SIGN DANNY FEDERICO TO ATO

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today announced that they have signed defenseman Danny Federico to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO).    A senior co-captain this season at Quinnipiac University, Federico collected two goals, nine assists and 36 penalty minutes in 38 games.  The 22-year-old was a candidate for ECAC Hockey’s Best Defensive Defenseman award and also helped lead the Bobcats to their third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament.… read more
