SENATORS HAND PENGUINS FIRST LOSS OF SEASON

PENGUINS TO AIR 10 GAMES ON MYNETWORKTV

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, in conjunction with My Network TV (WGMY), have announced their television broadcast schedule for the remainder of the 2013-14 season.    The Penguins will partner with My Network TV for the sixth consecutive year, airing 10 Saturday home games.  Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins broadcaster Mike O’Brien will provide play-by-play for each telecast with special guests handling color commentary during the course of the season. … read more

MEGNA RECALLED BY PITTSBURGH

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Jayson Megna from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. Megna, 23, will be looking to make his NHL debut tomorrow night against the New York Islanders. The second-year pro was off to a great start with WBS, placing second on the team in goals (3) and plus-minus (+8) through the first six games. In total, Megna has five points (3G-2A) on the year. GIBBONS OFF TO HOT START

GIBBONS KEYS PENS’ OT WIN OVER MONARCHS

KUHNHACKL’S LATE GOAL LIFTS PENGUINS PAST SHARKS

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Chris Conner from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL), it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. Conner, 29, is tied for the WBS team lead in both goals (3) and points (4) through three games, helping the Penguins post a 3-0 record and a first-place standing in the Eastern Conference’s East Division.
