MANCHESTER, N.H. – For the second night in a row, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins went to the shootout and for the second straight game they ended up on the wrong side of the decision as they were defeated by the Manchester Monarchs, 4-3, on Saturday at the Verizon Wireless Arena. PIRATES END PENGUINS ROAD STREAK WITH SHOOTOUT WIN

PORTLAND, Maine – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins incurred their first blemish on their 2011-12 road record with a 3-2 shootout loss to the Portland Pirates on Friday at the Cumberland County Civic Center. PENGUINS LENDING A HAND DURING THANKSGIVING

PENGUINS RE-ASSIGN FORWARD ERIC TANGRADI TO WBS

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Eric Tangradi to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. Tangradi, 22, was scoreless in two games with Pittsburgh. The Philadelphia native leads WBS this season with seven goals and ranks second on the team with 12 points in 12 games. The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Steve MacIntyre from his conditioning assignment with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Scott Munroe turned aside all 25 shots he faced to help the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 3-0 win over the Binghamton Senators on Tuesday at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. RUST RETURNS TO PENGUINS

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Matt Rust to a professional tryout agreement. Originally signed to an amateur tryout agreement on October 11, Rust was limited to two games with the Penguins due to injury. PENGUINS RECALL SCHNELL FROM WHEELING

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have recalled forward Ryan Schnell from loan to the Wheeling Nailers. Schnell appeared in three games for the Nailers, compiling 19 minutes of penalties. Originally loaned to Wheeling on November 8, Schnell has also skated in three games with the Penguins this year. STREET NAMED REEBOK/AHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The American Hockey League announced today that Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins forward Ben Street has been named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 13, 2011.
