PITTSBURGH RE-SIGNS RYAN CRAIG

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed forward Ryan Craig to a one-year contract, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. The deal is for the 2011-12 season and is a two-way contract worth $525,000 at the NHL level. WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have agreed to terms with forward Ben Street on a one-year American Hockey League contract, it was announced on Tuesday. Street, 24, split the 2010-11 season between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Wheeling (ECHL). STRAIT EARNS FIRST NHL RECALL

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Brian Strait from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero. The American Hockey League announced today that Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goaltender Brad Thiessen has been named Reebok/AHL Player of the Week, for the period ending February 13, 2011.
